I have a neighbor who has an F150 with the 5.4L in it. He bought heads and a blower from a Lightning, and I'm wondering what else needs to be done to the thing other than just bolting everything on.

Did he buy everything for the conversion? If not he will also need upper and lower intake manifold, intercooler w/ resivour & pump, Heat exchanger, 42lb injectors, 90mm mass air meter, some sort of cold air intake set up, front engine braket that holds the blower belt tensioner and all pulleys for the blower belt, lower crank pulley. Im sure theres some things im forgeting.
