V-10 Van Performance Upgrades
So I recently purchased a 2005 Ford van with the 6.8L V-10. Apparently it's quite hard to find any sort of performance parts for the van and was looking for suggestions. Would like to start with some bolt ons but am open to larger modifications. The end result of the van will be a 4x4 camper so low end torque/fuel economy would be nice to obtain.

Clueless nope not one bit. It's wise though to see what other people may know or have experience with before I go out and try things. Better to at least read what others have done and save the time/money/effort. How about posting something more helpful instead of saying I sound clueless.
For the record I have already found a tuner who has experience with V10 vans, will start with that and a muffler since the only catbacks they have are 4'' and overkill for a gasser.

As far as the 4'' if the cylinder heads were better or there was more flow it might be a better choice but the backpressure is necessary to keep some low end grunt. I may gain some up top but with the weight of a loaded van it may not be the best choice at the moment.
On a side note this week I'm adding tint/alarm/touch screen/mac mini. I'll post up pictures of the install next week. Thanks for all the productive replies by the way.

the 6.8 responds well to a custom tune, ported and polished throttle body, e-fans and a CAI
keep the exhaust with 2.5 inch true duals or a 3 inch single, and if possible find yourself a set of long tube headers (I think banks used to make them)
