Whipple was promising a kit for the 99-03 Lightnings. Everyone with an L was going crazy. They were supposed to offer 2 setups, a 2.3L and a 3.3L version. I emailed them, and emailed them, and emailed them some more. Finally, they got back with me about a month later saying the kit would be availible in two weeks. That was 8 months ago and still no blower. Needless to say, I bought the proven Kenne Bell blower and never looked back. It is a big joke in the Lighting community now. We call them Whishful, not Whipple...

*EDIT* as soon as I said that I went over to the Lightning forums and found the very first Whipple install almost completed. Guess they finally delivered!

I found a video a while back from the Whipple site with one up and running on a red Lightning. It must have been their test mule??

Hahaha, that sounds pretty familiar. We GM guys have had non-intercooled whipples around for years, but REALLY WANT an intercooled option. Whipple has claimed to be working on that for years, but its never going to happen. If it does, it will cost a FORTUNE! They put extremely high prices on all their parts.

Thats one reason why I ended up with a Magnacharger Radix. I'm currently spinning my Eaton 112 to 18,000 rpms and would love the option of moving to a lysholm or autorotor based compressor.
