Default My delivery truck (smirk)

If you would’ve told me 10 years ago that I’d be buying a truck to drag race, I probably would’ve laughed. Well, that’s exactly what I’ve done. Ordered this stripped down ‘23 and my first goal is hitting high 12’s on the stock tune. Im currently working 7-10’s and there isn’t time for making any test & tune night. I’m testing via dragy runs.

Bone stock, full weight with 87 in the tank.

4HI, Sport Mode, TCS/Advancetrac off:

Removed spare tire, jack and air filter.

E85

4HI, Sport Mode, TCS/Advancetrac off:

Same weight reduction with 4” CAI from my Coyote swapped SN95 and a muffler delete…
4HI, Sport Mode, TCS/Advancetrac off:

Same as above but with Advancetrac left on:

Well, that’s all I have today. I’ll report back when I have more data to share.

Oh, forgot to mention the truck is hitting the speed limiter around the 1000’ mark so 12’s are inevitable.

I need a new goal. Like how to embed videos here. I’ll figure it out.

edit: Hell, guess that’s how you do it, LOL

I’ll edit the original post.

test:

Very cool, the 5.0 and 10 speed is a great combo

I'm not quite sure exactly.

My friend has this combo in his new truck and the RPM drop is almost unnoticeable

The 10 speed in my Duramax is almost imperceptible, the rpm doesn’t feel like it moves at all. It makes a huge difference over my old 6 speed Allison. I couldn’t even imagine one behind my 408, it would pull forever. That coyote is an impressive motor, especially in a rcsb. I love what your doing! Keep us posted please brother.

yeah, i just honestly don't understand why they don't just transition to a heavy-duty CVT at that point.
it'll still be fun to see what this truck does because it's surprising they'll let you buy something so basic but still powerful anymore.

Limited by time these days but managed to cobble together my own air intake using a 5" carbon fiber tube and an AEM filter. The goal is to construct a box/barrier to somewhat minimize the heat transference. Aside from that, I need to figure the driver side of the PCV system out and add a catch can to the passenger side. Anyhow, throttle response is improved and it makes all of the intake noises you'd expect. Testing showed that it offered similar results to before but in much warmer/more humid air.

My Mustang ever since I took delivery of the truck:

Mine seems to shift around 6800 and stays within 800 or so. I'll have to look closer next time. The Gen 4 trucks have less aggressive cams due to the cylinder deactivation BS. What could go wrong. That said, they're a bit quicker mod for mod than the Gen 3 trucks because the heads are said to have been optimized but I have no data to support this.

I know that torque monster has to feel amazing! I got rid of a 22 Cummins to get this truck and it was great with just a 6 speed.

I'll be sticking around, I'll keep the headlight and radio updates elsewhere but will certainly keep you guys updated on my performance development.

We're definitely interested in seeing all the mods you make to this truck.
