Well...that was some good reading
Here's where I get confused. My neighbor had a 2005 SRT-10RC. Very nice truck. We went to the track. His best run of the night (1/8 mile) was a 9 flat. If this QC driver was so bad how did he manage a 8.7605 @ 87.52mph? He may have screwed the reaction time but he had made 1/2 of that up by the big end.
The QC had you beat at the 330', the 1/8th, the 1000', and the 1/4. You happened to cross the line first so you win, don't get me wrong. Just don't expect that everytime a SRT-10 lines up next to you.
I beat my neighbor by a full second on our first run because he couldn't hook. 10.1 to 11.1. But that was the only time I beat him.

The QC guy slept on the light but thats about it.It's an AUTO push the pedal to the floor and the truck does the rest.
You can't really have driver error in an auto other than reaction time.IMO!!!!

Slicks will not fit on a Ram SRT10. Smallest rim that will clear the rear rotors are 17". That leaves drag radials as the only option. There are only 2 sizes in 17" a drag radial. 1 is only 28" (or so) tall, which is too short for a 4.56 geared truck. The other one is 30" and it just became available.
Only way to put on slicks is to grind down the calipers (bad idea) or remove the calipers completely (worse idea).
That's why SRT10 owners go to the track without slicks.
Also, the *** end is not light on the Ram SRT-10s. Weight distribution for the overall vehicle is 55/45. Can't get a whole lot better than that. The traction problems are from the high torque down low, not because of the weight.
Okay, back to Dodge bashing again, lol.
