Get rid of the cats or at least gut them thats a good 20 right there. If it were mine and I had the time I would just buy a header kit and make my own, the ones out for the titan are rediculously expensive.

I'm not sure how they're runnin the ECU's on those things. My buddy has an 04 and was tellin me the computers on those things were an absolute nightmare. More than likely the best you'll be able to do is a piggyback of some sort. I'll check around and see what I find.

There isn't much of an aftermarket out there right now. CAI's, exhaust, headers, and a supercharger..that's about it. They do react well to nitrous also.

tell your buddy to check out titantalk.com. There is some information regarding the gains from the supercharger and a few other threads regarding some computer programming.

Technosquare is looking to release something fairly soon (or have by now). One guy tried the Unichip and it made less power than the stock ECU. No pullies yet for them. I got about 0.1 sec in the 1/4 with a Volant CAI. There are a few out there now like K&N, AEM, Airaid just to name a few.

As mentioned before I'd dump the cats with either straight pipes or a small muffler like the Dynomax race mufflers or the Moroso spiral-flows. That's a big help.

I ran nitrous on mine and was by far the best bang for the buck.

My uncle some how got his hands on a Export Titan PCM.. its supposed to be goin overseas but had a problem so they replaced it. He has tried to put it on his titan but the PCM controls so much stuff, it wont crank. but they are trying different stuff.
i know this doesnt help any, but thats what i was told.

Titans overseas get a higher power rating because they are not rated under the same methods as those sold stateside. Same truck, same ecu.

The ECU communicates with BCM and as a security function will throw error codes unless reprogrammed at dealer. However if you had the matching ECU/BCM and key fob you might be able to swap. I just bought an ECU and sent one to some folks in Austin to look at maybe they can help more with programming options.
