Anyone added an ethanol content gauge in their flex fuel
I was wondering if anyone has added an ethanol content gauge in a factory equipped flex fuel truck connecting to the original sensor. My '04 is a flex and I plan on doing this.

I added a Zeitronix gauge into the stock cluster. There are easier ways to do it and the gauge serves no other purpose other than allowing me to keep an eye on ethanol content at different stations across the state. So far all stations from NorCal to SoCal have been 83-85%
What are your reasons for wanting to monitor ethanol content?

Since I "discovered" during my trans swap that I have a flex fuel truck I plan to tune for e85 instead of my current 93 tune. I'd like the ability to monitor the content full time going from station to station. I filled up with E85 for the first time last week as the closest station is about a 15 minute trip and I just happen to be in the area. But, like I said I do have a 93 tune and there's more timing into it but it's not set up for e85. However, I did notice increased throttle response, smoother idle, and better part throttle acceleration. With a few tweaks my wide-open throttle will be better too.

Not my truck, but on my Cruze, I added an alcohol content sensor and converted it to flex fuel. I can plug my EFILive V2 into the car at any time and scan data on it and it will show me the alcohol % at anytime on it's screen.

I also have a nitrous plate kit I am installing when I swap to the TBSS/NBSS intake soon(have a single digger currently). I know I can see the content via HP/EFI but I like the idea of a permanent gauge next to my wideband for safety. When you installed the gauge Did you tap into the existing sensor wire? Or running a dedicated sensor for the gauge?
