I have a 2001 Silverado with a weird looking throttle body that is drive by wire.

Its not the same throttle body as whats on my 2003 Silverado either.

Thought they never had dbw until 2003??

Anybody ever seen this??

I want to convert to cable as I'm installing a pro flo xt intake and want to use a edel 90mm t/b.

Do you have traction control? They started in 01 with vehicles that had traction control, easier for the pcm to limit throttle. Should be the same throttle body as the c5 vette or very similar. Tahoes, yukons had the option,but Denali's and escalades came standard with it, the C3 truck had it too.

Whats it take to convert this to a cable throttle body.

I'm building a turbo truck and really want to use my pro flo xt intake that a edelbrock throttle body.

You need to run some wires and add a plug for the IAC. I believe the DBW computers just leave the IAC pins empty. Not quite sure if there are any changes that need to be made in the tune. Been a while since I looked through one.
