Here's a good read. The bottom of the third page shows a return diagram with a regulator after the rails.

Would be more effort than its worth, IMO.
Its recommended to always have the reg at the end on high hp setups so all the flow doesnt have to go through the regulator, only whats not used.
How are you currently regulating the pressure?
You can have always have your rails powder coated...

I just purchased a MagnaFuel MP9925-B for my new rail set-up.
I will be running it after the rails, just before the return.

Just thought I would update that I added an aeromotive fpr with a vacuum reference. I set fuel pressure with the engine off and the fuel pump running. Set it to 58 psi. Then hooked up the vacuum reference and started the motor. Looks like it idles around 47-49 psi.
