Stupid question but how do you tighten the fittings onto the strait? Just with a vise?

Sorry to keep bumping this thread but I have the 03 bucket but it was a return style hat so it looks like the 99-02 hat in your comparison pic. I'm going to build a dual 400 set up and I was wondering if it would be smart to use the hat I have. Is stock feed diameter large enough to handle 800rwhp? I will run a -8an feed off of the stock feed nipple

Well the bucket is tiny that will be your real problem. Stock lines are probably fin.

No the bucket is the 03 bucket so I have plenty of room for two pumps. But my hat doesn't look like the 03 set up you have in the picture. It has the three nipples on the top like your 99-02 set up in the pic. So I should be good to run a -8an Russell fitting on the stock nipple and I won't see any flow restriction?

How much fuel do you have to have in the tank to avoid losing fuel pressure when you make a pull with the 03 bucket setup in your tank?

I have never tried it below about 1/3 tank, but no problems at that level, even with 1.3x 60ft times. No reason to test my luck.

1/3 is reasonable...way better than 1/2. This looks like the easiest route...especially since my 05 comes with that bucket already in it.

Sorry I didnt see your question sooner, but here is the fitting. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/aer-fbm2822/overview/

Going on 3 years with this setup and have not had to touch it since I installed it, everything still works great!
