How much fuel pump can be put on a stock fuel pressure regulator?
I have a 2003 silverado 5.3l that is just getting a new top end and staying N/A so I will not need anything to support over 400rwhp. I am upgrading the fuel system (injectors (marine 8.1 injectors and a fuel pump) to prepare for the top end swap (heads and cam). I am curious as to how much flow the stock regulator can handle before it becomes too much for it to handle?
Based on some fuel pump calculators for 400-450rwhp which puts me at just over 200LPH flow for the pump requirements. I am looking at the walbro's 255lph models (or something smaller), So just trying to figure out if I can pump this much fuel to the stock regulator and have it function as it should
I am just looking for specs on the regulator and would rather avoid comments like "i run a walbro 450 on stock FPR and it works fine" . Id rather have the hard data based on the stock FPR but I am unable to find the specs online.
thanks

I am curious as well.
I say you are fine, I could add a comment like you are saying, as my truck is stock aside from the aeromotive pump. Would be nice to know at what point it needs to be changed.
