Default Inline fuel pump

Currently I have a Walbro 255 in the tank with stock wiring and I'm not sure that it will support my goals of ~600rwhp. I do have a hotwire kit for it that I haven't gotten around to installing yet. I was also thinking of installing an inline 255 fuel pump on a Hobbs switch. Is this do able?

I remember seeing a kit that mounts a fuel pump in place of the stock fuel filter, anyone know what I'm talking about? Maybe it was a Magnuson kit, which I can't find. Or does anyone know what fittings I need to connect to the stock fuel lines at the fuel filter?

The rest of the fuel system is stock, I'll have Bosch 60# (3bar) injectors from FIC to go on as well.

Pumps are ment to be in the tank , not outside.

A single 255 is not going to be close to getting you 600 .

I'm talking about two 255's in series. As in, leave my current 255 in the tank, and add a second one inline on a Hobbs switch so it comes on in boost when needed. Just curious if this is doable.

Are you talking about this kit? IIRC, it uses a 190 lph pump, not a 255.

That's not the one I saw but the concept is the same. It would be fairly easy to make this kit myself but I don't know what fittings are required to mate to the factory lines.

So is it possible for one pump to pump fuel through another pump that isn't on (ie when not in boost)? Or do both pumps need to be on all the time?

I wouldn't recommend a setup like this for your goals of a FI 600hp setup.

You need an in-tank setup. Put the second pump on a Hobbs switch. Use a Hotwire kit or build your own if you're good with electrical. It's been done a thousand times on PT, proven to work well.
