Default Installing injectors

Well I'll be installing my 60# injectors in the next few weekends and looking for some hints/tips/tricks to getting them in. I've never done them before so ANY and ALL info will be a huge help!

My main question is the o-rings that came with them, should I replace them with new OEM o-rings or will they be ok to reinstall? Also, should you lube the o-rings with oil or anything when putting the injectors in?

Thanks for any help!

I think I used lithium grease on mine with no problems.

I swapped mine on my 07' a couple months ago, should be a very similar process. Mine took a couple hours to get access to the rails, disconnect them, I unplugged and replaced the injectors one by one. Be very careful with the "clips" that hold the injector to the rail, they can go flying if you aren't careful and you'll never find them. I put vaseline on the o-rings of the new injectors, and made sure they were fully seated back into the rail.

You should be fine, just inspect the O-rings to be sure they are not messed up. Vaseline works also, or what the other guys mentioned.

You will be fine starting it up to get it on the trailer, even a few miles of driving. It will just run rich. What size injects you swapping to ?

What did you add in order to have/buy 60lbr's just curious. With them I would not let it run too too long. It will def be rich, you don't want to wash a hole out.

While that is the best way to do it, the HELL NO part isn't necessarily true. It depends on how big of an injector your putting in your truck. Once the truck is in closed loop, the trims will take care of any fueling issues.. To some extent. I drove my truck with incorrect injector data for a few months thanks to my fantastic tuner. He kept the stock LQ4 injector data in my tune even though I had changed to LS3 42lb injectors.
