Default Meth injection placement for Pro Flo XT

I would like the octane boost, and cooling of meth on this engine. I have a kit, and just hadnt gotten around to installing it. Well I am not too fond of installing it in front of the throttle body. I really dont like how the air is entering, and I think the mist will have the chance of getting thrown to the rear of the intake because it is entering so fast. Does anyone have opinions on this? I will be removing my intake soon and am debating direct port meth injection. It looks like I have enough room under the intake to install it from the bottom, and I already have all the nozzles that I purchased for another project. The only problems I see at this point are that I wont be able to monitor how much it is cooling as the nozzles will be placed after the IAT sensor, and it will protrude into the intake runner. Not sure if that will cause much of a problem. Any opinions on this setup?

8 individual nozzles is what your planning on, correct?

You dont really need to worry about how much its cooling, just realize that it is.

Get a leaf blower then hook up your meth nozzle and put it perpendicular to the leaf blower at the exit. Manually turn on your meth system. Notice how quickly the meth vaporizes When you cant see vapor anymore, put the nozzles that distance away from the TB.

Lots of people, most in fact, put the nozzles before the TB and don't have issues. Without putting the IAT sensor after the nozzles you won't be able to see the drop in IAT. You will just have to tune without using the IAT. I wonder if there is enough space in the runner for the meth/water to properly atomize? It may just collect on the opposite wall? Perhaps you can place them so they spray in the direction of the flow rather than perpendicular to the flow.

What size nozzles would you use?

not worth the effort and usually put the nozzle before IAT sensor.

I have M2 nozzles. Here is sort of what I was thinking of doing. I have 8 nozzles, and 8 1/4 NPT connectors. I would cut down drill and tap the connector. Then insert it into the bottom of the runner. Here is a cutaway of an old runner I had. It would protrude into the port, but I would be certain that every cylinder is getting as close to an equal amount as I could get. After Richard explained the leaf blower concept I might just try it in the pipe. This idea isnt completely thrown out the window though.

My point was methanol evaporates very quickly in moving, hot air. Looked at the devils own nozzles? Might be easier to make work.

Just checked them out. They do look pretty nice, and it wouldnt protrude into the port.

It is a little tight under the intake too. I might just try the single one for now. Im just sort of goofing off today.

The further away you can spray them into the runner the better it would work...thought about going from the top of the intake?
