Racetronix hot wire kit the way to go?
It seems like that's what everyone is using or is recommending. I've got an A340 for my return style setup in my 2000 Silverado.
Here's the wiring kit I plan on ordering:
Racetronix - Pump Wiring Kit MP150/280, Walbro CK* - Kit Configuration Page
All said and done it'll be $100.00. That's seems pretty crazy to me for a wiring harness. What am I missing? Isn't it just a simple relay setup for the new fuel pump?
Are there any competitors to racetronix I can check out before throwing down a hundred bucks on some wiring?

Not sure if this is the same harness I got from Racetronix, but I could not be happier with the quality of the one I have. All weatherproof connectors and all high quality wiring. Its a very nice piece, and not a part of the truck I would want to skimp on. Just my 2cts...

Yes you can do it yourself if you know what your doing. But after you buy all the wire, connectors, relays, etc, you won't save much money. Plus the convenience is huge. It also comes with an upgraded fuel bucket connector to handle the extra amps.

If you wire it yourself it can be done Very cheap.
Most trucks w/towing package have a fused 8-10 ga. wire running from the fuse box to the trailer plug. All you have to do is tap into that right by the tank to power the relay. All you have to do is buy ~2' of wire, a relay, and a fuse to put in the fuse box where the wire connects.

I have no doubt that the racetronix kit is a quality piece, I just don't understand why it's so expensive. I guess all those GM connectors add up.
To me it's kind of like brake setups. I see people throw down 3000.00 or more dollars on a brake upgrade when you can buy most of the parts yourself and build it cheaper.
I'm still on the fence about the hot wire kit. Hmm...
