I think he marine are rated higher 42# (IIRC). I got a set of 39lbrs, that I will send off to get cleaned and serviced. I contacted Lonnie's performance to see about a drop in fuel pump. But then I seen somewhere someone had a surge tank hooked up so they did not have to go inside the tank and mess with the factory system.

The 8.1 truck injectors should be a direct plug in. You will have to have the truck tuned though. As for the marine injectors, they too should be a direct plug in, but I have no hands on experience with them so I am not 100% positive.

Interested on this also. My 6.0 with tune, lt's, and 217/223 .551/.551 cam is around110% on the injectors. My tuner suggested the new flex fuel injectors. I believe they are 36 lbs vs my stock low 20 lbs.

As I understand though is that the flex fuel injectors have a different plug. Would the 8.1 injectors be the better choice?

If you want to keep it more simple and just "plug and play" then yes the 8.1 truck injectors would be a good choice. Yes the flex fuel injectors do take a different plug style, not a huge deal really. They make nice pigtail adapters that will be just a plug and play connection between your factory injector plugs and the other injector plug styles that are out there. Saves from cutting up and splicing the factory harness.

Is this the case with billet fuel rails? I got some 8.1 truck injectors and would like to kow before installation. Thanks.

I see it mentioned on this site often that 8.1 truck injectors are rated at 43 psi and need to be scaled up for the LS 58 psi rail pressure. I did just that when I installed my 8.1 injectors with hp tuners. It ran horrible! fuel trims were at 20%. I put the stock 8.1 data in the tune (30 lbs/hr and it then ran perfectly with 3% fuel trims. When you look up fuel pressure specs for a 8.1 truck, I find the same 58 psi as our LS 4.8, 5.3, 6.0's.
I feel like we should set the record straight about the 8.1 truck injectors. 8.1 trucks run with the same rail pressure as the LS engines. if that is true, when 8.1 injectors are used in the 6.0:s the injectors data does not need to be scaled up.
Someone please chime in if im wrong...
