Default Any truck road racer types?

I'm talking slalom type road racing not street racing.

It's always an area that has kinda peeked my interest but, until recently I'd never thought of using a truck as a platform for handling.

Anyone out there road race their trucks?

i am sure you won't find many people into racing trucks in autox but i do remember an article in one of the rags about a truck they built just for it and they placed in the middle area. also, if memory serves they could have done better in the truck but didn't have testing time and all that stuff to really dial it in.

I anyone put on a track day, I'd be curious to see what my ocean liner does. No cones, I'm talking about a real track so I can warp the crap out of my brakes, thus causing me to upgrade...

The Tacoma x-runner can pull almost 1g lateral straight from the factory, that would be a good starting point.

actually I posted a little bite in the s-dime forum of a little bite I was thinking of doing with my next s-10. I sold my last one but I want to get another onewith some very nice suspension mods and it will see a little bite of light auto-x duty but mainly rather spirted canaon run's most likely.

Ron Adee was the over all points leader in the 1 lap America until he stalled it at the start of one of the last races and finished 4th over all.. . .

The truck is a Dodge but it DOES NOT have a Hemi. Its powered by a 8.7L aluminum Mopar V8

That was with 90/10 front shocks though... LOL It was over a year ago when it was still supercharged. I didnt do too bad considering I put the swaybar back on the front there AT Hallett. (took it off the next weekend and its been off ever since!) Its set up for straight line racing, but I had an absolute blast there.

It's actually something that I had thought about doing once the twin turbo was back in and all finished up. Especially since the more I look around....the more sway bars and suspension stuff I find. I'm just not sure how well I'll be able to get ladder bars to handle. Plus I'm still trying to decide whether to keep an auto in it or go back to a 6 speed. Too many if's, and's, but's and decisions to make...lol

But I definetly think it would be fun.
