I was considering something like the GMHTP Auto-X truck, beings as my truck is basically the same minus it being a '99. Sounds like fun, I've got a car for drag racing, so why not a truck for auot-x'ing? LOL

Futral has a black '88 RC Stepside that he was building. It has a supercharged 383 with a 6-speed. But, he got the LS-1 bug and now it is just sitting at his house unfinished. Last I heard he was going to finish it and sell it.

They are Millie Miglia Mesas according to the article, but I haven't been able to find them yet. I was wondering if they are 9" wide.

PM or email John. He is the owner of the white truck and is a member here also.

I've got an 01 C3 awd truck that I've run road courses with. Both with an sc on it and a turbo, using an auto trans. It has been lowered a few inches and I added a rear sway bar.
The sessions are typically 20 minutes and if it's warm out it may get too hot to finish a session. Of course it will hold it's own on the straights, but after driving my 500/700 horsepower camaros, it feels like the land barge that it is in the corners.
Still fun, and will usually finish towards the top of the street group it runs in.

ive ran many cars out here at the streets of willow springs.... ran my truck right after i got it at willow springs. it didnt handle as good as many of the cars I have built... but it was still cool to have it sideways going into a flat turn... then it kept rotating and i made a big cloud of grass and dirt.....

but to save face.... i was the only one that day that could drive off the grass and keep racing... gotta love trucks

EDIT: yes there was alot of body roll..... its a truck!!
