Probably not... Is the converter you picking the 9.5 inch or the larger restalled TB converter? You need a 9.5 3400-3600+... The a truck is with a 4.8 is completely different reacting than an Fbody with a LS1.... That is like comparing apples and donkeys... Mods in my sig got me to a 13.2.... Which i would like someone to post up faster times with a 4.8...

i would man its a daily driver though i need half way decent gas milage is there anything else i could do? i really want a low 13 sec daily driver 4.8 id hurt so many peoples feelings around here with it

i have a 50,000 mile 5.3 short block i could throw in with a cam but i dont wanna yank out a perfectly good motor for nothing. all it has now i some bullshit street tune by eps, gutted cats,magnaflow muff, half a cai i made, and egr deleted and it runs dead even with a silverado ss from a 30 roll

Surprised that nobody has recommended that you swap in a 6.0 yet...that's usually the first suggestion for anybody with a 4.8 lol

Unfortunately it's going to take more than bolt ons...gears, the converter that Corey mentioned, and a decent cam will get you there

Don't get your hopes too high. I have cam, LTs, TB converter, 3:73s, and I only manage mid 14s. Every truck responds differently though, so may you can whip out low 14s.
