I ran the same nittos on my stock alum 17" wheels. They hooked up pretty good on the street, but at Famoso, I had a hard time getting them to hook. I aired them down to 18 lbs, but still no traction. I did notice a lot of drag radial cars not getting traction that night, back in May, but the slick tired cars were doing a lot better. I also know that M&H tires are based in bakersfield, and there were alot of cars using them. I just switched to M&H drag radials (275/50 17) and they hook a lot better on the street than the nittos did. I havent had a chance to get to the track to find out, but looking forward to next spring to find out.

DR's usually just need a light spin to clean off dust. Drive around the water box.

i might try it out. i figure these on my stock 17's would take a lot of weight off my drive train. 25lbs or better on each corner is a ton when it comes to rotating mass.
