Default 04 Yukon Denali awd transfer case

Just trying to get a idea at what kind of power the awd transfer cAse on my 04 Denali will handle and if there is any upgrades to make it stronger or replacements that are better?

I was making 10psi of boost on a 6.0 in my truck with the same transfer case and had no issues.

You should not have any problems other than normal stuff. I think that there is a sping update but several awd transfer cases have seen 1000hp.

There's an update for the clip that secures the pump as the original clip is prone to breaking and allowing the pump to rock around and eat through the magnesium case. There are also some aftermarket solutions that are more expensive alternatives to the $3 GM clip...I believe that Sonnax has one offering...

You do have to remember that your dealing with a slightly different (actually a lot different) AWD transfer-case in an ’04 Yukon Denali than what is in the ‘01/’02 model YD’s, Sierra Denali’s, C³’s, ’02 Escalade’s and Silverado SS trucks. You have the BW-4481 instead of the preferred and stronger NVG-149. The BorgWarner is an open differential type that works in conjunction with the ABS to redistribute power to the axel that needs it, whereas the New Venture Gear case uses a viscous coupler to accomplish this task.

Ohhhh, I didn't realize that it was a different t-case than the others...so the redesigned clip may not apply here?
