05 RST w/T56 swap clutch wont fully disengage.

So pretty much it'll hold up to whatever I throw at it? I might put my procharger on it although I'm not real sure yet. It's just my daily driver truck and that's all I really have planned for it. You are definitely right about the 2-3 shift tho. Thanks for the info

I'm sure you surely know, I was under the impression in '04 the NV-3500's were behind the 4.3's and in say '01 they were behind the 4.3, 5.0 & 5.7L motors, while everything else that was still equipped with a 5-speed got the 4500, thanks for clearing that up.

While some folks have had great luck with it, others have not. I personally think it's a crap shoot. If you're the original owner and know how you've driven it and not beat it into the ground, then yeah I bet it'll be just fine. In my case, I was the second owner and God knows what the first guy did to it, hence my about to swap to a T56. I know how to drive stick shifts, been doing it all my life, so I know it wasn't something I did.
