Default 06 GMC Crew Cab 4x2

Have a crew cab, 2 wheel drive The front brakes seem to be sticking..CHanged the front calipers and seems like its still the same...Did a complete brake flush, sucked all the fluid from the master put new fluid in..Pushed the new fluid through the system while sucking it all out of each bleeder... Still seems the same, Hubs get real hott and you smell the brakes burning.. Any suggestions? Hose's seem like they have good flow and No ABS light.

Is it both front brakes or just one? I would change the rubber lines going from the frame to the caliper. I have seen them come apart on the inside and you be able to force the fluid through them one way, but it not release the pressure off the piston once you took your foot off the pedal.

You can check by pumping the brakes till they start locking up and then crack the bleeder. If there is a bunch of pressure still on it and the wheel turns freely after you crack the bleeder, then the fluid can't escape from the caliper to release the brakes.

Have you tried taking it out and panic stopping the hell out of it several times. I have had several of these trucks in the shop through the years that a solenoid or valve gets cranky in the abs unit and can do exactly as you describe. Then after doing the above they are good to go. Do a couple of 80-0 stops with your foot buried in the floor on the brake and make the abs unit cycle it *** off.

Hoses are also a likely problem too.

01, I have'nt done that..It did rain some the other day,and i was braking kinda hard..But I would'nt say i locked it up... Thats also what im wondering, before this happened I did happen to lock the brakes up and ABS kicked in but I still slid threw a yellow light i was trying to stop at..I did pull the plug for ABS,and it seems like it helped..But of course i've got the brake and ABS light on..
