Default 06' Silverado has a loooooonng lag between the 1st and 2nd gear change. Whats up?

06' ECSB. 5.3, Nelson 93 tune, 28k miles. Factory 20in wheels, 3.73s

About a month ago I was merging into traffic. I stomped on it at 25mph, it kicked down into 1st, I was in a bit of a curve, so the tires broke loose, which caused the engine to rev up, and shift into 2nd. It bogged, kicked back down to 1st, but this time when it hit 2nd it barked the tires REAL hard.

For a few days after that, under full throttle, it would shift really aggressive into 2nd. After a few days, this stopped, and ever since, the 1-2 shift is taking a long time. Nearly 2 full seconds between actual gear changes, at the end of the shift, the truck lunges hard forward. It only does this under full throttle 1-2 shifts, and at anything but full throttle, the shifts are still nice and firm, and in a timely fashion.

I fear the tranny is on the way out. The truck only has 28k on the clock, and I NEVER have towed with it. I dont baby the truck, but its far from being abused. Every other gear change is great. Quick and firm, just like the day I got it back from Nelsons.

Im worried that the GM place will see my tune and void the warranty. I have tried to contact Nelson, maybe he could loan me a stock computer until I get the warranty taken care of, then, pop my old one back in with the tune.

Thoughts??

I'd definetly get it to the dealer, but your gonna want some way of gettin it back to stock tune. becasuse if they figure it out you may have some problems.

the probably wouldnt know what to say... i had a few service writers think i was bsing them whenni was at work loading a tune... they said i was full of it and there is no way i could modify the gm computer... so i real quick loaded the stock tune... took them for a full throttle run... then loaded "my tune" they didnt argue much after that

You should see their faces when i pull up......

"You did what to your truck?!?!"

I think that big shiny thing where the air filter use to be throws them off.....
Then they always ask..."Where is your air filter?"
Um........
