I don't want to have to give 75% throttle angle just to get the truck moving, I want it to flash up when I mash it. The last TT3000 that I drove was perfect IMO...with normal driving and part throttle, it acted stock, but when I mashed it, it went strait to 3k and the truck pulled like a ****. Unfortunately, I'm concerned about a TT series converter holding together behind a heads/cam LQ9 that will be beaten on daily

Ive gone over this with chris.
The converters are available from CircleD in 245mm (9.75") and 258mm (10.25"). He recommends the 258mm for a truck due to excellent street manners and retaining the ability to tow if need be. The 10.5" converter that PI sells is actually a 265mm unit. I really like the CircleD unit and it can also stall higher than the PI (circle D can get it to 3500, PI only goes to 3000 max) but it's also costing $150 more than the PI.
