The 8 lug 14 bolt 9.5 hosings in the 99-00 2500's are based on the OBS housings and have a wms-wms of 67.5 as apposed to the later SS VHO style that are 68.5 wms-wms . They do have the same leaf springs mounts and shock mounts as the 99-07 style trucks. How ever the brake mounting flanges are different. I am not sure what rotors you will be able to use either...

Axle lengths are different, shaft diameter, and bearings are also different along with seals. You need axles from a 88-98 14 bolt 9.5 4x4 with 6 lug sich came in 1500 heavy duty or 3/4 Light duty chassis. The outer flanges will not fit inside the NBS style disc. You will need to turn them down.

Once I get back in the states I plan on converting a 14 bolt FF to 6 lug. There was a company doing it but they went out of business. Wish I could contact them to get the bearing info and axle info.

The new hubs were like 5-600 alone... The conversion was just to expensive... How many 14 bolt 9.5 SF have you seen break???

You might get some of the info you are looking for on Pirate4x4

Sounds like my best bet would be swapping my entire assembly for a OBS 4x4 unit and run drums or get a disk kit.

Actually you can get OBS 6 lugs axles in the correct length and I made some flanges to use the factory 10 bolt style disc brakes.

I am going to do this same thing soon for another member and we will post up the conversion.
