14 bolt SF swap

Thanks for the info
Great post Atomic! Thanks a bunch for your time and effort. Of ALL the 14 bolt sf swap threads that I've read so far, yours has the most accurate details. Even though I went a different route than you did with the axle build, your info saved me a lot of time, $ and hassle.
For those running smaller tires, nearly stock power levels, would like to use their existing u-joint and just don't feel they need a 1350 pinion yoke, some 3R yokes from 10 bolts are interchangeable with the 14 bolt 9.5 yoke. Just make sure that the spline count, pinion seal and yoke(sealing surface) diameters match. Six States has them for about $52. Their P/N is 40025925. If ya want something stronger however, Denny's Driveshafts has a chrome moly 3R with U-bolts instead of straps, but it's close to 3x the cost.

Except These are not spacers. These are designed to be welded on as replacements so you don't have to take up 2 1/4 inches or what ever the difference is on the OBS housing with the NBS disc brakes. Also you can clock them to correctly position the caliper. On the factory housing they sit at 45 degree's with the pinion pointing up 5 degree's.
