The more cutting and welding you do, the more you can distort a housing. If you don't have a line up bar to check it you may have problems down the road...

I would never do another OBS housing again. It's more work and not worth the hassle when I can use a housing that bolt's in, Uses off the shelf axles, and only needs flanges to make the stock 1500 brakes bolt up.

The OBS housing requires the removal of nearly every bracket and then you have to clean up the mess unless you like the hacked look. Not to mention the OBS drums are hugh and weigh a ton in comparison to the newer stuff.
Don't your remember?

1. Buy 8 lug 14 SF.
2. Buy 6 lug shafts.
3. Buy rear brake rotors for a 2003ish 2500 6 lug van.
4. LITERALLY BOLT EVERYTHING TOGETHER!!
5. Prawwwwfittttt!

No fabrication needed.

That's even worse than seeing a 60-66 with a 5 lug rear end, still has 6 lug front hubs. Makes me want to kick puppies and punch babies.

I dont think so because of the width. I think my best chance is the OBS Z71 14bSF, but I think even those are 1" narrower than the H2 rears. I think I have some these notes somewhere. Its like 67"WMS vs 68.2" or something like that.

I just run PYO wheels and front hub adapter until I decide WTF Im gonna do up front. SAS, 9.5IFS build, or fug it and leave it.

Ever think of having a company like Dutchman make you a set of axles? That is what I was referring to for you since the H2 axle is indeed wider.
