I started off grinding the calipers on the truck w/ an angle grinder and I didn't like the results. I took them off and used a big belt sander, being careful to plug the holes to keep the dust out. I put them back on the truck several times to check the fit and mark the interference. When I started to grind the clips that hold the pads in place I figured that was far enough. Still didn't fit. I relocated the calipers by removing material from the top of the bolt holes. This alows the caliper to move down and achieve the necessary clearance. I think I moved them down .120". If you go to far it will cause clearance issues w/ the rotor.
I did this on a Bridgeport mill but it could be done w/ a die grinder and a little patience. I did this about 2 years ago and no problems. Brakes work fine.
The truck is apart so I'll try to get some pics up in the next day or two.
Twobit has a camera and he owes me for upping his post count.

The 14 bolt in your 2500 has slightly larger drums than the 1500's but you wont have aproblem.

Don't even waste your time with the dremel. It will take forever and a day. The 1st wheel took about 2 3/4 hours the 2nd one only took about 1 1/2 hour with a grinder. After the 1st one you can go to town on the 2 nd because you know where the bulk of the material needs to come off.

If I did the holes by hand I'd use an air powered die grinder w/ some carbide burrs.
If you know anybody that works at a machine shop it would be a big plus.
Hope this helps.
