the 04' VHO only uses the 10 bolt. the 05' and newer VHO, 05' 2wd and newer SS, and Vortec Max trucks all now use the 6 lug 9.5" rear diff. the come in 3.73 and 4.10 gear choices. they are only in drum brake configurations though, but very good working drum brakes with half the problems that the rear disc brakes were having...

Doesn't the SSR with the 6-speed have a 14-bolt, 9.5" rear with discs?

i believe they do, but they are coil spring suspended and wouldn't bolt up so i left them out.

I knew that and could not get my fingers to type that... 2 weeks ago help SCIV put a cam in his '04and talked about his 10 bolt w/o traction assist..

Well, I thought that I will end up going with a taller tire as well, so if I did that the 3.90's would be like the 3.73's and the 4.10's will actually be close to 3.90's, so............

And since my 05 has drums, would be perfect and easy swap........

I need to find a rear end for my AV, I have the stock open dif... Right wheel peel like crazy!!! I will keep my 3.73's, a few friends keep telling me to get with the Powertrax units...
