Will a 94 rearend from a chevy truck fit in a 99+ chevy truck? And if it was drum brakes, can you swap disk onto it?

I want to say the spring perches are a different width apart and that the yolk is different. I'm 99% sure it won't bolt in without some modification, but I don't believe you have to do a ton to get it in there.

unless you want to spend money on a down grade then dont do it.... the carrier bearings are smaller on the inside... the spring perches are about 1.5 inches wider on your truck also...

I put a 12 bolt from a 94 4x4 under my 2000 single cab. We shortened it 1in on each end, put mosier axles and a eaton unit in it. The spring perches do have to be rewelded. The drum brakes were easy to hook up and we then could easily fit a 15" rim on back and tuk some meat under the rear fender wells without minitubbing it.
