Default 1995 tahoe 6.0 ls swap/ 6" lift installed. now concerned.

Short story of it guys, I have a 1995 Tahoe with a 6.0, texas speed cam, long tubes and a 3000 converter and built 60e, all hard parts and good clutches. before the lift it would lay down posi for 50-60 feet. I know its pointless but it was fun. Well over the weekend I installed a procomp 6" lift with dual hoop shocks up front. very nice kit, just a lot of work to install. I finally got new sway bar bushings in this a.m and took it out for a spin, stopped out on a back road and stomped it and it just kinda took off. Didn't even chirp them. Trans is full of fluid and nothing has changed other than lift. Im still on stock tires as my new rims haven't came in yet.

Does anyone have any clue as to why this is happening. I understand the geometry has changed, but I figured it would still spin them at least some.

So you did nothing to the truck other than the lift? That makes no sense. Do you have a service engine light? Does it seem to "bog" down or anything different than normal?

Is it possible that the new suspension is transferring all the weight back over the rear tires and just giving the tires a lot more bite? Does it feel slower, or does it just not spin em?

Yep, I would say that since you lifted it, the moment created by the center of mass of the truck is greater and therefore can transfer more of the weight to the rear. So you just have more traction now.

x3. This is what they did with the "gassers" back in the day. Another thing to consider is the fact your engine is drawing in thinner air given that is now at a higher altitude. May need to add forced induction.
