Default 1999 Silverado Rear Diff?

I have a 1999 Silverado 1500 Z71. I have not been able to find a definitive answer as to the stock differential. Google searches bring up the Eaton G80 but never for my exact truck. So, to those in the know, does my truck have an open, limited slip, or locking rear differential?
Thanks in advance.

Get the code from the glove box and google it. It will tell you exactly what you have.

Get a detroit Tru-Trac.

Be glad you dont have a G80 to explode and *** up your gears.

It wouldn't matter, I don't run her that hard. Just want to know I can get anywhere if I want to. I'd consider the Tru-Trac, as well as others. I was looking at the Richmond Lock-Right & Powertrax as well. Any opinions on these and others would be great. Thanks

Go with the TruTrac or something similar.. the lock rights and power trax can get quite annoying and if you dont have the exact same size tire inflated the same on each side it will constantly click and wear itself from locking and unlocking while goin down the road.
