Default 2/4 Drop bases covered?

I ordered mcgaughys 2/4 drop kit with coils, hangers and shackles. Do I need new shocks when I install the lowering kit or can I wait a week or so? And if I do lower it this weekend and next weekend get shocks should I do my alignment after the shocks or before? And do I need anything else besides the coil springs hangers and shackles and shocks ? First time taking on a big project and I'm kinda trying to prove to my dad that if imma do something I'm gonna make sure all the bases are covered. Anyone else's opinion on anything else I need?
Also what shocks should I buy for a performance type ride but not a completely annoying rocky ride

I ran mcgaughys drop shocks, you will need them for this drop.

Stock shocks will not fit in the rear with 4in drop.

You'll need to measure the pinion angle after the drop to see what kind of shims you will need. I needed 5-6 degree shims when I did my 2/4 drop on my long bed sierra.

I installed everything at once and did the alignment right after.

Stock shocks won't fit at all until the new shocks arrive?

All I say is good luck compressing the shock to fit into position in the rear.

And it will bottom out on every single bump with a 4in rear drop.

If I attach the top and use a jack to push bottom into the right spot will it work? I just need to ride on stocks for a week until the next Saturday and I have time to install them

You may get them in there but what FFDP is saying is, if you do, you'll be compressing the **** out of the shock and it won't be able to provide proper dampening.

It'll ride like **** is what he is saying (providing the shocks will even fit).

Imma buy shocks before I put the kit on. But where can I buy doetsch tech shocks? Can someone drop a link to the shocks I need to buy like a link to the front and link to rear shocks needed? What part number doetsch tech shocks should I buy for the 2/4 drop on my 2wd 1500 rcsb
