2/4 drop on a gmc sierra
I have a 2000 gmc sierra 5.3l and i was interested in putting a 2/4 drop on my truck and wanted to know how much that would run me. Anyone have a drop on their truck and if so how much did it cost you?

2/4 is a good stance for starters but you'll always have the itch to go lower I started with 2 shackles then did springs n hangers 2/4 and let me tell you how fun gridin pop rivits off for hangers are and now I pulled all that off put the stocks hangers back on and ridin 4' control arms n 6' flip kit on rear and still want to go lower. But if you set on 2/4 do control arms and shackles n hangers it has the best ride IMO with some belltech streets shocks

IMO a 4-6 is good for a truck that you do nothing with but if you tow anything with it I think it is too low. I have have trucks lowered anywhere from 0-2, 2-3, 3-5, 4-6, 6-8, and bagged. The truck I have now will be either lowered 2-3 or stay the way it is at 0-2. Mainly because I want to use it as a truck and haul stuff with it and tow. When I have my 4-6 truck I had some Gabriel Air Jackers on it and towed some but nothing over long distances just across town. If you are going to lower it 2-4 I would suggest to get a set of spindles, shackles and maybe some hangers or remove the overload leafs. I like my trucks to keep a little rake so IMO spindles, some hangers, and removing the overload will be perfect before you go to the expense of hangers and having them installed.
