Default 2-4 Drop Questions?

I just got a new truck this week but it has a 2-4 ground force drop on it.It seems to bottom out in the rear. Frame to Rearend. Whats the best fix for that? I don't want to c-notch the frame.

Default bump stops

You can adjust the bump stops BUT this is a temporay fix. Eventually you are going to have to c-notch the rear IMO

C-Notch is the only way I got my ride back with my 2/4. Nothing wrong with a C-Notch as long as you have somebody that knows what they are doing.

Yeah, for some reason the NBS tend to bottom out alot easier even with a 4" in drop over the OBS. A C-notch will greatly eliminate bottoming out and dont worry a c-notch is very strong and durable.

Shorty bump stops and possible raising the rear a notch in the rear if you have shackles.

Stiffer shocks or air bags will stiffen the suspension in the rear and prevent the rear from hitting the bump stops. This is a patch and comes at the cost of a stiff and somewhat harsh ride.

Damn, I guess, I need to re-think the fact that I want a 2/4 drop. Right now I am just running stock but with belltech 2" shackles. But with the wheel/tire package I'm running it looks a lot lower than it is. I had been thinking about going with a 2/4 drop but........ Hearing all the issues with bottoming out lately, and c-notching (which I absolutely do not want to do). I may just leave it like it is. Also, been hearing alot of other like Kevin (V8) talking about less traction since installing their drops. I'd like to keep as much suspension travel as possible. My truck sits pretty level right now, which I kinda like a little bit of rake, wonder if traction would be improved by adding some 1" or 2" coils in the front and leaving the rear at the 2" with the shackles? Or if there was any way to get just a tiny bit more of drop out of the rear, but not go a full 4", maybe like 2.5 to 3"?

Oh, and Sleeper, So sorry to highjack your thread, but thought that any info shared might be beneficial to both of us.

Default lowering

I do agree c-notchig the truck is a pain in the azz. But I have done it twice and love the look of a 4 or 6' rear drop.
My SuperCharged truck has great traction with a 6' drop it launch's quite well.

no need to knotch the truck. all 2/4 drops bottom out. I put some beltech helper bags on the back of mine and now it hardly ever bottoms unless you hit a big bump. the only thing is if you get the bags you have to make sure you get the ones for a dropped truck. they are like regular bags. the helper bags for a stock truck are the sleave bags and they wont work on a dropped truck.
