Default 2/4 Drop and tires size?

I'm currently running 305/50/20 on American Racing RTS'. No rub issues, but I'm about to buy a new set of rubber, and want to do the drop on my Avvalanche. Whats the max tire size I'll be able to run with the drop?

What is the offset of the wheel? I have a 305/40/22 on my wife's Yukon and it is lowered 2-3 but is more like 3-4

Is this the truck on the 305s?

You should be able to run a 2/4 on that with no rubbing depending on your offset... but you might want to run a 285/50 just incase.

Ya...thats the truck. I think the offset is 8.5. PLanning on going to the new Nitto of similar 555 305/40/20...I don't want a full on drag radial, but something with a little better life.

It is an Avy come on you don't need a drag radial. j/k The offset wouldn't be 8.5 that would be the backspacing. Tell me exactly which wheel it is an I will look them up and see if it is possible to make them work on your truck. I did alot of research when trying to cram a 24x10 on my 1500 with a 4-6 drop

Ya, I know, thats why I'm looking at a summer only tire. It gets stored all winter, and I want something lower profile now that I'm not really gonna tow anything of consequence. The AmRacing site doesn't have them listed anymore - RT-S #311285-38, 20x8.5...18mm offset.
