i know hotchkis is a good brand for leaf springs but is there another brand that i can go with that is still damn good but a little bit cheaper? cuz i found em for $300 and the LCAs for $300 as well, and still like i asked, is LCAs all i need for the front? Also is belltech or McGaugheys a good brand for LCAs? Thx

That is correct.

And the only way I see to go cheaper than $600 is to change what you are using and go with coil springs up front and shackles/hangers in the rear.

Well the main reason I want to do leafs and LCAs is cuz there easier then shackles/hangers, the cheapest I could find for labor for a 2/4 drop was 300 bucks, so I figure if I do the leafs and LCAs I can do those myself

I stand corrected about the 2" drop arms, but If I were you I would still do spindles and a flip kit, 1.5" lift shackles. That would be almost as close to stock as possible. Is there any reason why your set on LCA's? I know the DJM"s 4" model can be hard to align. Spindles are easy as hell to install(i've done 4 sets now), and a flip kit is very straight forward and shackles are about a 20 minute job. Personally I would do that if I were you.

also, i was just thinking, i already have a 2'' drop on my truck on the back with the 2'' lowering shackles, if i get the 4'' drop leaf springs for the rear, will the 2'' shackles mess it up? possibly make it drop more or what will it do?

I dunno if I should try to find stock shackles and put em back on with the 4" drop leafs or I wonder if i just leave the shackles on and put the 4" drop leafs on the rear will it mess it up, anybody have any idea what it will do?

If you combine the shackles with the 4" drop leafs, the drop will either be a 5" or 6" drop depending on what setting the shackles are at. If you are going to use 4" leafs, I would put the stock shackles back on. The only other company that I know that makes drop leafs is belltech, but I don't know what drops they have. Another option would be to look for some 2" drop leafs and use the drop shackles you have.

I am running djm 4" drop control arms and have no complaints with them so that would be my suggestion for the front, but in 2" for your case. With the 2" control arm, you shouldn't have any issues aligning it. Most people that have problems aligning a drop control arm have a 4" or 5" version. Even then, djm sells an upper control arm that helps correct the alignment.

Only thing is, I haven't been able to find a 2" lowering leaf, any ideas where I can purchase stock shackles at? I didn't bother taking my stock shackles back from the shop that did the 2" rear drop for me
