Default 20" Rear Wheel backspacing question??

What is the max backspacing you could run on the stock rear of a 2000 GMC Sierra?
I'm trying to get some 20x11 wheels, and run some Nitto's 555R 305/35/20DR in the rear. Thanks for the help.

You can probably get by with 7.5" backspace. I currently I'm running 7" backspace on mine.

Do you have any pics of your truck and how far is the tire from the leafsprings?
Thanks for the info
How about for fronts 20x8?

20x8 would be fine for the front. I actually have 8.5 width.

Don't have any pics of tire/leafspring. Maybe I'll get some of those done next week.

backspacing is not as simple as it seems as other factor will be the section width of the tire you are intending to use on a particular width rim. a 7.5 bs might work with one tire but not a wider section width one. something to consider. 7 bs would be a safer bet but i would only widen rim to perhaps minimum rim recommended rim width of tire you want to use to better my chances of all fitting and not rubbing on inside leaf. good luck and keep us posted. Rob.
