Default 2000 freakin miles... damn the 60E!

Seems like I roasted my 65e soon as I fixed my missfire after having my truck retuned. So basically it drove like it should for 2 days with full power behind it. And I wouldnt say full power either... I babied the **** out of it the 1st 1000 miles, and not having a retune. checked fluid levels and temps. Heck they still look new. But tranny lost 3-4 on interstate, and 1-2 in the city. Looks like Im going to do a 80e like I was thinking the 1st time around.

I babied the hell out of this tranny, had not even stomped on it or made a video or anything. Just some good part throttle pulls with my 3600 stall was enuff to annihilate it.

80e is going in for sure this time.

Wow, two 60E's in two days (you and Aklowrider), must be a record!

Edit: it seems he is cruising the forums right now too...

I know this sucks ***. I have alot of research to do on the swap. I want the equivalent, and was thinking a 3600 stall on the 80e this time. I don't want to regear. Why ohh why, this is too soon. Im going to look into warranties, and see if my converter could be warrantied out for a 80e converter instead. Hopefully my trans guy, build me a 80e with the 65e as a core. I have the labor covered already. But I just kicked money to get all this done 2000 miles ago.... so go figure...

John, you have nothing to worry about. Your power to weight ratio is way better than mine.

Everyone just needs to put a powerglide in and call it good

If and when I ever start making enough power to need to build a transmision, I'm not even going to waste my time with a 60e. Built 80e and calling it done!

Lol you think your on borrowed time? I have the same trains and a very overwieght girl. Frank seems confident that it will hold up to my truck. Skeet and stews truck are the ones that convinced me to get the lvl2 so we will see how long it last. A year and goin strong (knocks on wood)
