What are my options for getting the rear end to match? Would a gear swap be sufficient? Sorry for all the questions.

pop the cover, count the teeth and divide them lol
swap gears if you have to, its not a big deal. If youve never done it before, pay a shop
9.5 SF = 9.5" ring gear semi floating axle. The cover has 14 bolts on it, some refer to it as a "14b"
Its an AAM axle, not a GM 14 bolt, but its a stout piece of machinery and you can find them under GMT400 Z71s and W/Ts. Maybe other packages; but at least those 2; v8s of course

Good deal, I guess ill be swapping out the gears in the rear then. Thats pretty cool to know the rear axle of a k1500 is wider than the C1500, any idea how much?
Ive got some beefy wheels I just got for the rear, and hope they poke haha

Trans harness
Did you have to change the trans harness for the conversion?
So here is a thread for my 2001 Silverado SCSB stepside with a 4.8 and 4L60E and 4 wheel drive. Decided to pick up some parts and do the AWD swap on it. So parts include:
NVG-149 Transfer case with less than 10K on it
Front differential out of AWD equipped vehicle
AWD front drive shaft
So I had the parts looked over by a trans shop down the road and the guy said everything looks good so I will be doing the AWD swap now that the garage space is available. Ill try to take a few pictures of the swap.

If my truck is originally a manual transfer case how do I lock the front differential into 4x4? Do I just put the truck in 4x4 when I remove the t case? I have a nvg149 and a front driveshaft. Was hoping to use my original front differential

You can swap the passenger side tube to an AWD one, you can swap the front diff with an AWD one or you can apply 12v to the CAD servo and leave that like that. You might be able to mechanically lock it in gear- but its been a long time since Ive been in a CAD GM axle and I don't recall any of the specifics
