Default 2006 5spd silverado to t56 swap....

Hey guys, I am looking to switch up the Silverado a little bit.

I am planning on building a 370" 5.3 base motor with a set of LS3 heads, g6x3 cam and other bolt ons. The truck is currently a 37k mile 2006 rcsb 4.8/5spd truck.

Question is, what all is involved in swapping my 5spd out for a t-56 setup?

Any help is appreciated,
Thanks!

Would a 6.0 block be better suitable? I have read where 370 is possible with a 5.3, no?

I just did this swap. Automatic driveshaft. If you use a stock location camaro shifter then you will have to remove or modify console and make new shifter hole. I used a kieseler shifter relocation setup and it put the shifter almost in stock location. ls1 slave and use the lines etc out of your slave, knock the roll pins out and swap stuff.

need more info email is
