Default 2016 6.2 going from 3.23 to 3.73

I have a 2wd escalade and putting the whipple 2.9 on it (build thread is on the forum) and thinking about going from 3.23 to 3.73s.

Has anyone done this here?

freeway is not bad
3.23 at 65 mph is 1400 rpms
3.73 at 65 mph is 1600 rpms

I really dont think going from 3.23 to 3.42 would be worth it.

Just trying to get some info going.

You'll get better low end out of 3.73. Red light to red light will be better. With you motor combo and 3.73 it will make it more fun in town for sure. I wouldnt waste time with 3.42.

There is a guy on gmtruckforums that put 3.73 in his originally 3.23 geared 2015 8 speed 6.2 truck. It's otherwise stock more or less and he loves it..... I might do it to mine too to be honest. First gear gets pretty low but it's still actually less gear in first than an 8 speed Hemi Ram with 3.92's in it.
