2500hd 4l80e shift kit..?
I have an 03 2500hd with a supercharged 6.0, the 4l80e is stock besides a larger pml pan and tru cool 40k. I daily drive this plus tow my mud truck occasionally. The whole deal now has 125k on it. The trans fluid and filter were done every 25k with gm fluid and filter (I worked there). It shifts super nice and the fluids always nice and clean.
Would it be a good idea to put a shift kit in the trans..? I just don't want it shifting like a race car with super hard shifts. Any recommendations on what to use or buy..?

I'm curious about this too. A lot of people using the transgo hd2 but I think you get the harder shifts. A little of topic, but not to many 3/4 ton boosted guys on here, do you have stock drivelines? And How much power are you making? I've got an 04 2500 ECLB I'm putting a new s480 on and my tuner says I need to upgrade the driveline. I think he thinks I'm in a 1/2 ton. Not sure how much stronger our drivelines are compared to half tons.

I put the transgo in my hd about a week ago or so. I did the average setting. Mine doesn't shift hard or bang into gear but the shifts are firmed up and it seems to shift nicer.
Not sure on how much power I am pushing, I would think I am about 425 plus but not totally sure . I am doing more soon, I'm looking for 500-550hp. My opinion it's a 14 bolt rear axle and they are tough in stock form, internal upgrades will help. Mine for instance has been all redone with a Detroit locker, 513 gears and it's all 1410 joints plus pretty beefy traction bars. I do tho run 37 inch tires tho, thats why the lower gear. Its also straight axled and I do have a dana 60 up front with a limited slip and 1350 joints.( if ur 14 bolt is stock, that limited slip nonsense or whatever is in their probably won't make it under power, mine didn't with 37s.lol)
Remember, the 1/2 tons have a 10 bolt rear axle. They will work for a bit but do end up under big power not making it..lol. plus they have smaller u joints. Big differance from a 10 bolt to a 14 bolt.

I agree about the reader end. And I had a drive shaft shop tell me that the two piece is stronger than a single one piece which makes since because they are 2 shorter pieces. I'm just wondering if this thing will hold what I'm going for. If a rear end goes it won't do as much damage as a driveline going ya know? Mines 2wd btw. But I did read the other thread where you rebuilt everything. It's a nice truck man. Lots of work put into it.
