Default 2600 stall or 3000 stall?

Internally stock 4.8, just a few bolt on's. Thoughts, opinions, comments about the 2600 vs 3000 stall converters from Yank? I want more lowend for the time being on my 4.8. This isn't a daily driver, pretty much just get's driven on the weekends, so I'm not too concerned about fuel economy and I don't tow or haul anything currently.

It seems like a 2600 would be better suited for a stock cammed 4.8, unless you had plans for a cam swap in the near future....

With a cam swap I'd say 3000.

sorry, I left this part out - I'll be doing a 6.0L swap in the near future, most likely just a stock LQ9 going in it. Will these stall higher behind a 6.0L like the TB converter does?

What are the STR specs(still curious what this is?) on the fuddles? What makes them a better choice than the Yank?

The TT3000 is what i am running on my daily driver. I agree about the post above, with a stock cam you will lose the bottom 1/2 of your power band.
The STR is explained here.......STR Explained

so basically, the higher the STR, the better. I'll try the TT2600....but how will that stall behind the 6.0L? higher?

you have the yank 2600 or the trailblazer converter? I want the my truck to have more getty up off the line and pull better when it shifts into 3rd....will the higher stall improve the 3rd gear pull? Will the higher stall converter act differently behind the 6.0L?

I am doing the 6.0L swap sometime this summer, but I am so undecided on which route to take, it may be some time before I purchase something

personally i would forgo the yank look nito fuddle...look at their site, customer service and you can read all there is to know about STR's and stall speeds...if its your daily driver and you want some bottom end i'd go with at least 3k....no point to only go to 2600 to when you're dropping in a 6.0l ...get big and go to 3000 or 3200 IMO of course
