Question 285/75/16's/Stock rims and NO LIFT, will it rub?

My 2002 Silverado Z71 is due for tires. Stock tires are 265/75/16 and I scored a near new set of 285/75/16's for it today. I am also running stock 16x7 rims.

I plan to install a very mild (IMHO) 3" front, 1" rear lift kit in the future. Basically, I plan to install the 3" lift keys and 1" taller than stock leaf spring blocks.

My question is, should I wait until the lift kit is installed before I try to put the taller (33"), slightly wider, tires on? Or will I/should I have enough clearance as is?

I looked through the tire/wheel thread sticky, but nobody had this combo.

Thanks in advance...

I used to run 285/75-16 BFG All Terrains on the factory aluminum wheels with no rubbing issues, factory ride height. They filled the wheel wells nicely

Good deal. That's what I was hoping since I need tires now...

Thanks for the reply and the pic.

They'll fit no problem. I just wouldn't crank 3", your driveline angles will really suck. The most you want to do is around 2" to keep your BJ and cv angles in check.
