2nd gear slipping

2nd gear slipping
only 2nd gear is slipping. 
doesnt matter how it goes to second, whether shifting from first, downshifting, or just holding it in second.. it slips. every other gear holds perfectly fine.
i was adviced most likely the servo, but just wanted a few opinions before i spend money at the trans shop. i dont doubt the advice i was given from the builder, just want a few ideas of things to check before breaking the wallet out.

Well if the band is hurt, most likely there are some other things damaged. Just need to find the route cause of why the band is failing. But probably a refresh with a new band and drum at the minimum.
