if i were to convert to 2wd on the back of the tranny i know I need a new tailshaft, along with a new DS, where can I find a tail shaft and how much? this would be on a 4l60e

You will also have to change the output shaft. I do have some tails laying around if you need one along with an output shaft. Vince

With the traction problems you have why would you want to go to 2wd???
