2wd Leveling kit
im looking to lift the front of my truck 2" or so to level it out. want to retain the stock ride height in the rear. its a 2000 RCSB silverado 1500. i'd like to do it on a budget but still have a smooth ride. i've herd of using ford f-150 torsion keys. any opinions on that or other options, what else do i need? thanks

Some 2wd trucks do have torsion bars, so you should take a look under yours. Coil spacers are the low-buck option if you have coils. Spindles will always ride the best, and usually correct for bump-steer and turning radius, but cost more.

Your best option to level it by lifting the front is using 3" spindles and a 1" block or a 2" coil spacer. I would strongly recommend using the spindles over the coil spacers as they won't change your suspension travel.

i cant find a spindle lift smaller than 3", then i would have to lift the rear 1"... thats more money and work than i was planning on. spindles are expensive. also the stock height tires i want to keep might look funny.
how bad will the 2" coil spacers be? i'd like to hear from some people have ridden with them on a silverado. handling bumps, turning, ride, etc. ive owned 2 lifted trucks that used coil spacers but they were both solid front axle, so i dont have any direct experience with this.
