what are teh 4.10s gna do mpg? and seat of the pants?

also ive asked this before but was it motive gears are teh ones to buy??

take less rpms to turn the tire over. so at 2000 rpms the tires will be makin more rotations.

we just had a thread like this no 2 days ago. Basically it will be a huge difference but expect as much as a 3 mpg loss.

how do you figure 3mpg loss?
myself and many others have switched from 3.42's to 4.10's and didn't loose any mpg.

I said AS much as. I don't want to claim that I've done the swap, but like I said there was a thread not 2 days ago and some people said they didn't lose any highway mileage and there were 2 or 3 that said they lost 3 mpg.

These are highway numbers. Your city number will probably be even higher than before

my city stayed the same thanks to stall converter and hwy seen as much as 24mpg so 4.10>3.42>3.23 with those heavy *** 22" rims your going to see better gas mileage and better response, night and day, do it and you will kick your self in the *** for not ordering the truck with them allready.

You will notice a significant seat-of-the-pants gain going to 4.10's from 3.23's....I noticed a significant gain going from 3.73's to 4.10's in my Avalanche, so you will be a happy camper.

But if you cruise on the highway a lot at 75+ mph, be prepared for a loss of mpg. The LS1-derived motors like 1800-2000 RPM and once you start getting into 2200+ RPM, motor efficiency starts to plummet. I lost 3-4 mpg in my Avalanche going to 4.10's.
